Homelessness Queensland is looking for a volunteer to support our media and digital communications. You will help turn complex sector work into clear, engaging messages for our members, partners and communities.
What you will do
- Assist with newsletters and email communications.
- Support media releases, announcements and opinion pieces.
- Help keep our tone and messaging consistent across platforms.
What you will bring
- Experience or interest in communications, media or digital content.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Confidence using digital tools and platforms. WordPress or email platform experience is helpful but not essential.
- Reliability, good organisation and the ability to meet timeframes.
- An interest in social justice.
- Access to a computer and reliable internet.
Time and location
About 4 hours a week, with flexible hours. The role is remote. It runs for 3 to 6 months, or longer by agreement. You will complete a 60-minute online induction before you start.
What you will gain
You will contribute to statewide homelessness reform and gain experience with Queensland’s peak body for specialist homelessness services. The work is flexible and skills-based, in a supportive team.
