QLD Homelessness does not provide housing or emergancy shelter services, but we do provide advocacy and navigationing on where to go for support, advocate for safe and secure housing and raise awearness of issues people face when entering the system.

 

How we are helping

Emergency Relief

Emergency relief services are delivered by community organisations to support people who are experiencing financial distress or hardship and who have limited means or resources to help them alleviate their financial crisis.

Advocacy

This year Homelessness QLD established the homelessness advocacy service, to provide a dedicated focus on the coordination, strategic planning, and practices relating to homelessness.

Homelessness is a complex social issue and our community is concerned about these highly vulnerable people, especially those experiencing the most acute forms of chronic homelessness and rough sleeping.
